Burger Planet Releases Meal Alternatives
Burger Planet Teams With Fitness Guru Jayne Peterson
GARY, Ind. – After her success with talk show host Opal Whitcomb’s weight loss, fitness expert Jayne Peterson has teamed with Burger Planet, releasing a new line of meal alternatives. Burger Planet which is famous for its simple hamburger options is now giving customers several additional meal choices.
Petersen was asked why she was joining the Burger Planet team she said, “Burger Planet has been a leader in the Quick Service Restaurant industry in offering healthy menu choices. The company believes in encouraging customers to live healthier, active lifestyles and I have spent my life trying to teach women that lesson.”
While Burger Planet will continue to offer their original menu offerings, Burger Planet now has available white chicken meat sandwiches. Customers will have the choice of bun or no bun, with a lettuce wrap as a substitute for the traditional bun. Burger Planet also provides several options to accompany their sandwich, customers can choose between five fruit options as a substitute to fries for no additional charge. Burger Planet has also included several salad options with less than 500 calories. Petersen said, “Women can have a burger and fries now and then as long as they are active and also try some of Burger Planet’s exciting new menu choices.”
Petersen and company mascot Corny the Clown will be making appearance across the country together, promoting healthy eating options for kids and parents. During the month of June look for Petersen and Corny the Clown at 12 of the company’s locations, the pair will be armed with nutritional packets and healthy advice for kids. During the month of July look for the pair at 7 malls across America, the first of those will be the Mall of America in Minnesota.

I like this a lot. It is engaging and interesting to read. I would change the "new line of meal of alternatives." It is miss leading to the old customers that like the grease. I would suggest "healthy meal alternatives."
ReplyDeleteI like this press release a lot. It's easy to read and I understand what you are trying to get across. I think you should include a quote from the Burger Planet CEO at some point. I didn't really see a boilerplate either so stick that in there towards the bottom and you're golden!
ReplyDeleteI really really liked it. You included new information about the new alternatives, which was great. I think you should mention how there will still be the regular selections on the menu. You did great job!
ReplyDeletethis press realease is great, you did a great job
ReplyDeleteFix AP Style in your data and address. Your "bun or no bun" sentence has no explanation why it is important to the lead .. it might be better to leave it out. You need to add a boilerplate and a quote from company CEO to add credability. You could add the target in your headline or subhead to make this release more clear why it's new and importnant. Your call to action is simple and effective "For inquires ..."
